BERLIN MARATON

The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is one of the world's largest and most popular marathon races, taking place in Berlin on September 27, 2026. The race is famous for its record-breaking, extremely flat course that passes through the city's most beautiful sights. The event offers a unique experience not only for professional runners but also for running enthusiasts, thanks to its diversity and the city's unique energy. The race is part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors series, and participants can choose from several options, including charity runs, inline skating, and the Generali 5K run.

On race day, clothing or valuables cannot be dropped off at the start area, but all finishers receive a warm, reusable poncho free of charge. Clothing drop-off can be booked for 5€, but in this case, no poncho is provided. The race packet can only be collected in person at the MARATHON EXPO with a photo ID and start number. Runners receive a 4-day public transportation ticket for the duration of the race. Runners can also place their own refreshments on the course with prior registration and labeling. The Generali 5K run starts on September 26 at 10:00 AM, with the start at Potsdamer Platz and the finish at Straße des 17. Juni near the Brandenburg Gate.
