Bükk Hegyi Maraton

The Bükk Mountain Marathon–Ádám Kisgyörgy Memorial Race is Hungary’s oldest trail marathon. It will take place on June 6, 2026, at Majális Park in Miskolc. The race offers a range of distances, from the marathon to the minimarathon, so everyone can find a challenge that suits them. Runners compete amid the scenic natural beauty of the Bükk Mountains, while the race unfolds continuously at the event center, known as the “forest stadium.” The event aims to foster friendships through sport, promote a healthy lifestyle, and showcase the natural values of the Bükk.

The race center is at Miskolc, Majális Park–Királyasztal, where relay team members send their teammates on their way from the forest stadium. The course consists almost entirely of forest roads of varying quality; the marathon time limit is 6 hours. The minimarathon distance can be completed either running or hiking. Competitors return to the race center after each lap, allowing spectators to follow the race throughout. A trail-running race with multiple distances for amateur and professional athletes in a nature-rich setting.
