VASKAPU TRAIL

The Vaskapu Trail is a nature-focused trail-running race in Esztergom, offering runners a challenge over three distances: 8 km, 16 km and 22 km. The course follows trails and marked hiking paths, with minimal road sections, allowing participants to enjoy the natural scenery and varied terrain. The event is environmentally conscious, with cup-free aid stations and support for the Green Forest program. The start and finish are at the Vaskapu Restaurant, at the Brilli Gyula shelter, where participants can also use changing rooms and bag storage.

The race uses chip timing; chips are issued against a 2,000 HUF deposit. The event is cup-free, so participants must bring a hydration vest or their own cup. Race-pack collection takes place at the race center on race day; earlier collection is not available. Entries may be cancelled until 2026.10.15; after that, they can only be transferred to the following year. The race center has separate women’s and men’s changing rooms and a built-in toilet, but no washbasin. All finishers receive a finisher’s medal, and the top three women and men overall receive separate awards. Participants must bring the equipment needed for hydration. Changing rooms and bag storage are available on site, and environmentally friendly solutions are used to support participants.
