Vértés Terep Maraton

The Vértes Trail Marathon is a challenging trail-running race on the scenic trails and forestry roads of the Vértes Mountains. The event offers runners several distance options, from the ultramarathon to the minimarathon, each with varied elevation gain and a well-marked course. Participants can enjoy aid stations, personalized race bibs, timing, and a generous selection of finish-line food, along with the natural surroundings and sporting experience. The race has a friendly, intimate atmosphere, and the organizers pay special attention to runners’ comfort and safety.

Personalized race bib and timing (Traxpace). Hungarian-made metal finisher’s medal, painted by people with disabilities. Women’s hygiene products available at the aid stations and event center. Massage for Marathon and Ultramarathon runners. Two types of non-alcoholic finisher beer. No cups provided; bring your own cup. Mandatory gear: mobile phone, ID, and at least 0.5 liters of fluid. Race-pack collection times: Ultra and Marathon 08:00–08:45; Half Marathon and Minimarathon 08:45–09:45. Awards ceremonies on race day from 12:30 to 15:00. Trail running in the Vértes Mountains, with several distances, elevation gain, and aid stations. Registration opens in January 2025. Held in Szár.
